33 Miles in Aid of Omushana - Thank you Finn!!

https://www.omushana.org/img/news/news-07.jpgHuge congratulations to Finn who completed a 33 mile bike ride including a killer of a hill out of Littledean to raise a whopping £400 for Omushana.

Finn has chosen to support our Vocational Training projects and the money will be used to provide skills tuition at Bwindi Community Vocational College.  This means that several young Ugandans living in and around Buhoma, Bwindi will be able to gain training in skills such as carpentry, construction, sewing or business management.

Thank you so much Finn!

Sponsored events are a fantastic way to raise money for Omushana - get in touch if you would like to do a sponsored event for us.

Omushana's 2018 FUN WITH BOOKS ADVENT BOOK CHALLENGE - A HUGE SUCCESS

Thanks to some wonderful support we were able to purchase 54 FUN reading books to present to our 3 Reading Champions so that they have some lovely new books to read to children and inspire them during the year to come. The books will be taken out to Uganda in February - watch out for lots of smiles on faces coming soon! Our amazing Reading Champions are: Caroline at Buhoma Community Library, Speria at Ruhija Community Library and Ben at the Rubuguli Community Library (run by our partners at Footsteps). The average price for a book is £5 (to buy and transport). Please donate £5 through this website - just leave a message to let us know which book you are funding. We will put a dedication in the front stating that the book was donated by you (if you have a personal message please let us know) and we will send you pictures of the book and our fun with books project in action early next year!
