Thanks to some brilliant fundraising by pupils at Mary Webb Secondary School & Science College in Shropshire, and donations from other Omushana supporters, pupils at Kyeshero Secondary Vocational School in Uganda now have better opportunities to study science.
Omushana has delivered new text books in all the science subjects much to the delight of the science teachers, especially the Biology teacher Elliah who benefitted the most due to there being more Ugandan Biology text books in stock in the shops than the other subjects! But the other teachers don’t need to feel discouraged – we left a donation of 2 million shillings (around £450) for the school to order more books, especially practical science workbooks which the pupils need to excel in their practical lessons and exams.
