PENS & MORE
Omushana supports many schools through the provision of pens, pencils and other scholastic materials including calculators, coloured pens and crayons, notebooks, paper, rulers, erasers etc. Over the years we have sent thousands of items, most of which were passed to us by Pens for Kids UK to take out to Uganda on their behalf.
In the past we also partnered with other charities and individuals to send clothes and shoes to children in remote communities. However, shipping of clothes stopped some years ago when the Ugandan government introduced prohibitive duty on imported items.
Omushana still accepts donations of scholastic materials, books and sports kits but not clothes or shoes. If you have something to donate please get in touch. Alternatively we always need to fundraise to cover costs of transportation so if you would like to support this project you can also donate money!
