VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Omushana is proud to support several Vocational Training inititiaves around the Bwindi Forest, most especially Bwindi Community Vocational College and Kyeshero Secondary Vocational School. These projects bring opportunities for vocational training to the children of Buhoma and surrounding villages.
Bwindi Vocational School was founded in 2013 and has received much support from Omushana including vocational equipment for sewing, knitting, business studies, IT (several laptops), construction, carpentry motor mechanics and plumbing courses. Thanks to some wonderful donations we have also been able to secure land purchase and help the school roof and construct a number of classrooms. In future we aim to sponsor courses to ensure that pupils pay affordable fees and can therefore complete the course.
Omushana has been supporting Kyeshero Secondary Vocational School for 2 years including provision of laptops, carpentry tools and sewing machines as well as support through our Class Support Programme.
